Its sometimes difficult to tell the difference between language and dialect because the characteristics are really similar and the way you tell the difference by the political decision. With language being the method of human communication, either spoken or written, consisting of the use of words in a structured and conventional way, and dialect being a particular form of a language that is peculiar to a specific region or social group.

English has diffused to other languages by combining with them, like Spanish and French through diffusion and relocation. The role of Spanish and French in North America is,French is widely in Canada especially in Quebec and Spanish is is widely used in the United States.
